My SEO Lab: What I Have Tested, What Worked, What Did Not

Everything on this page is written by me, start to finish. It is a lab, not a magazine: I try things on real client work, keep what survives, and write up what I learned. Every SEO claim here is either backed by data I can point at, or something I have run myself and watched work. Where an idea came from someone else, I cite them, because pretending otherwise would be both dishonest and less useful to you.

The writing is mine and so are the mistakes. If something reads badly, or you think a conclusion is wrong, tell me at me@zeeshanbashir.com. We are all here to learn and I would rather be corrected than quoted.

I write these to think, not to rank. A post goes up when I have either run the thing myself or found evidence solid enough to stand behind, and it gets cross checked before it ships. Nothing here is theory I picked up secondhand and repackaged. If a post ever reads like it was written for an algorithm instead of a person, email me and say so. That is a bug, and I will fix it.

How these posts get written

I write all of it. No ghostwriters, no AI draft dressed up as thinking. If I use AI inside a workflow I will say so in the post, because that is part of the method and hiding it would make the post less useful.

Claims are earned, not asserted. A statement about SEO here is either supported by data I can show you, or something I have run on real client work and watched succeed. When it is the second one, I say so plainly, because one practitioner's result is evidence, not proof.

Other people's ideas get credited. Plenty of what I know came from people who published before me. Those get cited and linked. You should be able to trace any idea here back to where it came from.

If you disagree, say so

I get things wrong. The fastest way a post improves is someone emailing me a counterexample from their own data, and that has happened enough times that I now expect it.

So if the writing annoys you, or the logic does not hold, email me@zeeshanbashir.com. I read every message myself.

Free Weekly Brief · Every Tuesday

Five things your buyers complained about last week.

Pulled every Tuesday from Reddit, review sites and forums in your sector. Each complaint comes with what the buyer actually meant and the content angle it opens up. This is the raw material most of these posts are built from.

Spent three weeks comparing finance deals and every single site buried the actual monthly cost behind a form. I gave up and bought from the one that just told me.
